Construction Details
This reissue was meticulously produced in collaboration with our manufacturing partner in Mexico, utilizing U.S. hard-rock maple. The glue employed in its construction adheres to our strict specifications and comes with a warranty against delamination for the deck's lifespan. The design and graphics for this remarkable skate deck were conceived in Santa Barbara, California.

Artwork Background
The iconic Nordic Skull design, created by artist V.C. Johnson in 1984, draws inspiration from Per Welinder's Swedish heritage. Initially, this striking graphic was featured on Per's freestyle model, lacking the rock texture backdrop; this detail was incorporated in a later version released in 1986.

In 1987, as Per transitioned to performing freestyle and street demonstrations, the complete graphic was adapted for a street model. The design includes eighth-century Runic stone lettering that spells out Per's name. Additionally, a background quote reads: “Search and strive, push beyond with strength, yours not theirs, that is the key,” a phrase attributed to Per himself. The vibrant artwork has also been popularized on T-shirts and stickers, further cementing its place in skate history.
